Hi there. I've only just found your podcast and find it interesting & inspiring. I too am recovering from ME. In the last 4yrs I have gone from not being able to hold a cup to have a drink to now working 4 days a week (25hrs) so I am lucky & pleased with progress although not sure if life will ever be like it was before ME. Knitting too, got me through the dark days, once I could hold the needles again & I have also since learnt to crochet. I like to do cross stitch, although find the concentration levels needed for a, larger project a little too tiring still. My youngest son also suffers from a dairy and dairy derivatives allergy/interference so I fully appreciate how hard it is to find safe products, especially when manufacturers change ingredients without warning or notice, a flare up was once caused by a vitamin tablet. He also has high functioning aspergeres. Life can be challenging for both of us especially when we are questioned about things "that are surely all in your head as you look so normal" !!! I look forward to many more fab podcasts. Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteYou have no idea how much your comment has lifted my spirits. One day I hope to work at 'a job' but for now just trying to recover is all I am able to do. My oldest daughter also have lactose intolerance but we manage her intake carefully and even her school have arranged a special menu for her which is great. My friends son was diagnosed with aspergeres syndrome but not a severe level. He is able to function well in school. Good luck in your future and never let yourself become isolated. I will always be here.
